From deep gravelly soil of the Médoc, this highly tannic wine always needs time. The Chateau’s first vintage from new owners, who brought in winemaker Jean Delmas (of Haut-Brion fame) out of retirement. The result is a fragrant cabernet, with deep earthiness and mushroom notes. The palate has currants, dark berries, and a bit of fennel. Bright acidity balances these dark notes, and the bottle age has really integrated the ample, structured tannins. Ready to drink now, or cellar for 5+ more years.
