Every year we go taste barrel samples at the Van Brunt Stillhouse Distillery. We choose our favorite barrels, and they bottle them at cask strength exclusively for us. This year's selections are exceptional, and we're delighted to share them with you.
This rye is made from 75% rye and 25% malt, and is aged for 17 months in small, new American oak, 10 months of that in New Barrels. It's bottled unblended, undiluted at 108.4 proof. With no filtering, it has a rich mouthfeel with notes of toffee, caramel, stonefruit, and spice.
