Príncipe de los Apóstoles (translated to "prince of the apostles") Mate Gin is produced at Sol de los Andes gin and grappa distillery in Mendoza, Argentina. Founded in 2000, Sol de los Andes is a family-run distillery. This gin is made from peppermint, eucalyptus, pink grapefruit skin, and yerba mate botanicals from Misiones, the National Capitol of yerba mate in Argentina. It is distilled in a German copper still, with each botanical macerated separately in a wheat alcohol base. TASTING NOTES "Peppermint and eucalyptus notes overpower all other botanicals on the nose. The gin is soft on the palate. Same spicy and herbal profile on the palate. Would stand up to something bold like a Negroni. " REVIEWED BY STEPHANIE MORENO
